Did this daily for several months (RIP, Steve). It's pretty easy as long as they don't see what you're up to.

Hm. Do they go fast after a diabetes diagnosis, or did Steve die of something else?

Depends how early you catch it. My sister had a diabetic cat for years. My boy Mister lasted a month. Never going to forgive myself.

Oh no. My kitty started peeing a lot... it took me a month to figure it out. I got this diagnostic kitty litter and it said she was fine, so I thought she was just old for a few weeks.

Took me like a year to catch on. I was finishing my PhD, moving, starting a new job...by the time I took him to the vet, his kidneys were shot.

I loved that cat so much. He was my Dad's cat originally, and pretty much my only family after Dad died. anyway.
