Whereas I, who got lectures on ethics for two days before I was allowed to start learning my profession, often wish there were more applied ethics lessons expected in learning.

I'm not suggesting mandatory ethics education to maintain licensure like I have to do, but does ethics have a place in computer science like it does in other sciences?

They want every course, every club, every space to glorify Christ. Everything must be subordinated to their cause -- which, of course, will make them extremely important by some weird coincidence.

There are areas like law and medicine where I can see a need for ethics training -- but I don't want anatomy to become Ethics of Anatomy and I don't want it coopted by Scientologists.

Many of the examples of 'ethical' concerns she presents are exquisite exercises in progressive angel-combinatorics, currently being pushed as a pretext for why it's so important to give people like her prestigious and powerful jobs.

She is framing as 'ethics' certain contentious political demands about sacred and profane language -- rectification of names. This is in no way comparable to the actual potential to actually destroy or kill actual people inherent in law, medicine, or industrial engineering.
