memory or hard drive are usually the first things to go. For HD, you check SMART status. For memory you run a test overnight. HD: replace with flash. Memory replace and max out if still available.

Kingston memory has a lifetime warranty and a very convenient lookup tool on the website. Flash drive get a name brand like Crucial.

I have a flash drive. Everything seems fine except once every couple of days it spontaneously reboots.

windows should have a memory check utility built in. mdsched.exe you should be able to start that from the run box <windows>-r
