I was in Wal-mart the other day with a fairly pained/alarmed expression (being fairly pained and alarmed at the time) and an elderly man stopped me, took my hand and mumbled something.

well, at least he meant well, unless he didn't
-
yesterday or so I got hit up by a guy I took for a panhandler, shrugged and mumbled "sorry, no cash on me" (which was true) -- he made a 'no thanks I'm good' gesture & said "wait. it's a GOOD thing"
-
I realized I'm quite a bit less uncomfortable being hit up to give over a bit of spare change than being randomly offered an unidentified "GOOD thing" & invited to hang around to find out what it is, & moved on

Either an evangelical or a drug dealer

probably, and if not then tbh I'm probably better off not knowing
