Thought about this some more. I think I pattern-matched too fast to cached arguments about CoCs, and about church ladies taking over what used to be SF fandom. Don't know enough about this particular case.

From reading the Facebook thread, the relevant points I took away were: a) The camera thing is arguable either way, but b) The con said that there were other reasons besides the camera thing, but have not said what those reasons were. 1/

Accordingly, my take (as much as I have a take) is that the con believes they are acting in good faith over the camera thing, but that they were already primed to find /some/ reason to ban him and so took the first plausible excuse that came along. /f
