Protip: Advocating better/more affordable rehab and mental health care is always a safe gambit in Internet debates. But rehab and mental health care don't actually work, and often make things worse.
Some people get lucky. Some people get hurt. They cancel out. By "don't actually work", I mean at the level of a societal intervention, it's setting money on fire. No net gain across the population.
