no longer eat much bread but I bake my own. Only way to get real sourdough here (fake is available), too. Takes time & effort tho

Yeah I had a bread-baking phase a while back. Delicious but I never got the hang of loaf-making.

loaf pan. Then greasing the loaf pan, then covering the grease with coarse cornmeal because loaf still sticks. Doesn't rise enough

Actually I just hand-form and cook on a pizza stone, no pan.

yeah, I couldn't manage that. The closed-Dutch-oven method works okay but you have to get risen dough into a hot pot w/no deflating

Thrift stores often have quality bread makers for >$15. Dump in the ingredients and wait about 2.5 hours. best bread ever.
