@St_Rev Sounds more like air exposure. If the temp is good it's probably fine.
bought a 16 dollar package of fresh ground beef yesterday. it's gray now. apparently the fridge is failing.

@asherahresearch nah, sealed package. the fridge is definitely having problems too. -
@asherahresearch I should probably cook it into crumbles right this very second but I'm too bummed/disgusted -
@St_Rev Color really means nothing but if the temp's been down I wouldn't. :\ -
@asherahresearch sigh yeah. sixteen bucks. that's a big chunk of my food budget. -
@St_Rev They'll trade, they always do. Then i'd cook and freeze it in case the fridge is still wonky.

@St_Rev Supermarket seal is often not airtight, air exposure = discoloration. If it smells OK, probably is OK. -
@tabinfl The fridge is having temperature problems, but this was shocking. 24 hours. Haven't smelled, but sealed but totally gray-brown. -
.
@St_Rev smell the meat. SMELL THE MEAT! -
@tabinfl aaaaaaaaaaaaa I'm scared

@St_Rev my understanding was that it's air not temperature causing that? - 1 more reply
