@St_Rev btw, do you have outdoor trash cans? minor thought but fwiw keeping them inside/hidden might help keep coyotes away

@schakalsynthetc My housemates are hippies who maintain a large barrel of compost. Have not convinced them of alternate approaches. -
@St_Rev hm, idk enough about composting to have any useful input either, alas -
@St_Rev had intentions to take it up for ages but also nextdoor neighbors who happily accepted donations to theirs, so never quite got to it -
@schakalsynthetc Well, there's composting and then there's just a big heap of garbage. -
@St_Rev ... dare I ask which of these is yr housemates' standard practice? :) -
@St_Rev (it's relevant to coyotes - not sure but I'm thinking a neat, well-kept compost pile probably wouldn't be of much interest to them) -
@St_Rev (generally anything that attracts lots of little scavenger mammals may draw coyotes along by the food chain) - 2 more replies

@St_Rev there's a taxidermied coyote in the Los Angeles natural history museum posed with a taxidermied housecat in its mouth :( -
@sarahdoingthing Yeah, worrying.
