@BrowningMachine Kuttner had a very short career in the 40s and 50s, died young, but very influential on other writers. -
@BrowningMachine Banks was an interesting guy. He alternated space operas with Serious Literature. Very highly regarded for the latter. -
@BrowningMachine Literally: one year he'd put out a Serious Literary Novel, the next year a space opera, back and forth. -
@BrowningMachine And finally, McNeil writes and draws a comic called Finder, which is the only current SF series I enjoy. -
