How much of human irrationality is explained away by extremely limited memory about how you arrived at your current priors?

@St_Rev@simplic10 but despite this armies still seem to defeat unorganized mobs -
@drethelin@simplic10 Armies are terrible at building and hard to sustain. Fire vs. wood. Fire consumes wood, then dies, then wood grows. -
@St_Rev@simplic10 they can be sustained for centuries, and pay for plenty of buildings. Rome collapsed but it took a hell of a while -
@drethelin@simplic10 Rome's control was actually very light most places tho, compared to a modern state. -
@St_Rev@simplic10 I think minarchy is probably more sturdy than anarchy -
@drethelin@simplic10 If we ever get to the point where there's a choice between minarchy and anarchy, I'll worry about the difference. -
@St_Rev@drethelin Offtopic somewhat, but re terminology, I usually think of "anarchists" as leftwing, anti-market. How do you categorize? -
@simplic10@drethelin Primarily as anti-authoritarian. If forced into a box I'll put myself on the center-right of individualist-anarchism.
