If you “go deeply within,” what you find are wish-fulfillment fantasies. I don’t know anyone who found anything more there.

@St_Rev Hmm, at risk of quibbling, I suspect that is not “going deeply within” in the relevant sense. -
@Meaningness As I said on Tumblr, this kind of thing may be at the root of 'headmate' culture. It happens, modern culture doesn't handle it. -
@St_Rev Yes; I have personal experience with that, and it can be productive. Not what I meant to diss. (Although it has own dangers.) -
@Meaningness I don't think it has much to do with my own severe deficits. -
@St_Rev No, I don’t think it’s inherently pathological at all. Depends on what sort of relationship one has with other entity & with world. -
@Meaningness For me I mean. At this point it's about as difficult and ritualistic as writing fiction. -
@St_Rev Yes, quite similar processes in my experience.

@St_Rev However, Crowley himself seems to have sorta-kinda believed in a “deep self” (inherited from Theosophy/German Romantics).Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo
