@Meaningness Nice thing abt Lao-Zhuang Daoism is it's essentially dead as a religious tradition; people get less butthurt about revisionism.

@Meaningness Of course, in disengaging it from sangha and practice one loses a great deal. Maybe everything! -
@St_Rev Maybe… but that piece on Tokugawa Zen suggests that it was resurrected almost entirely from texts, with the practice entirely lost. -
@Meaningness Sure, but there's no living Zhuang-Lao religion today, reconstructed or otherwise. There *are* other, living Daoisms, yes.
