@St_Rev Is there a notion of signaling that allows for "self-signaling"?
I spend about 30% of my (very limited) money feeding and caring for cats, including neighborhood strays. Apparently this is just signaling?

@AnonymooseRex You can falsify normal signaling by seeing how people behave when others aren't watching. How do you falsify self-signaling? -
@St_Rev You can eliminate practical explanations for behavior, and also look at behavior in more or less self-aware contexts.
