@St_Rev I never in my entire life considered the idea of a base not being an integer. -

@St_Rev It could work when you interpret the base as the number with which you multiply the second digit from left and not as no. of digits. -
@emareaf Or just make every second digit noncoding. -
@St_Rev this trick only works for bases which are a square root of an integer. -
@emareaf The extension to rational roots is obvious! -
