@St_Rev Do you think you could give an explanation of how ones are more common in the real world than other numbers? Might be close enough.
Can give intuitive argument that would probably satisfy anyone who already knows what a logarithmic derivative is, but that hardly counts.

@jhvilas That's Benford's Law http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Benford%27s_law … which is related. I've never seen a good intuitive proof.
