You can draw a straight line from El Paso to NZ to Breivik. Dayton was an antifa sympathizer. Gilroy seems to have hated everybody. Some tiny fraction of young men will try to murder a bunch of strangers. Their justifications will be culturally bound, but not the real reason.

One notable issue is a media that’s 50-50 in gender and 95-5 sociocultural upperclass to everyone else, trying to figure out the inner workings of 23 year old broken young men from the fringes of society. A lot of the stories they tell are like blind people describing colors.

Were either of the killers from the "fringes" and incomprehensible to the media class? The Dayton shooter was a left irony type, which should be incredibly familiar to anyone working in the media.

El Paso and Gilroy will be rolled into the White Supremacy conspiracy theory, drowning out any understanding that might be useful going forward.
