Duran Duran is sort of remarkable in that each of their songs has like four different standard versions in addition to an album cut, a mid-00s remaster, and a collector's edition, and between of the lot of them invariably only one doesn't suck

The songs themselves are the same way, with respect to each other. Each album has a couple of hits, maybe one really incredible b-side you never hear, and a bunch of stuff that's fairly unlistenable. There are probably other bands like this, but Duran Duran's prototypical

the bass on rio or hungry like the wolf is wonderful and also inaudible if youre just hearing the song over a grocery store PA or whatever
