sorry Rev I hope I didn't make you uncomfortable. If I did I apologize. I was joking around, not expecting a serious answer, and I'm sorry if I overstepped

thanks

Yeah, I tend to habitually shave sexual context off for personal reasons and thought you might be uncomfortable, which sometimes leads to me sounding dumber than usual. Apologies.

Human sexuality is monstrous

Yeah I agree with that. Granted, non-human sexualities don't seem much better

Lust evolved to overcome our natural inhibitions against things that are somewhere on the spectrum between laughable and disgusting.

Anyone who has given "the talk" can see the natural reaction to sex is disgust and confusion. Only chemically remodeling the brain into something else makes it desirable.

The natural reaction to hearing “the talk” is disgust and confusion. Not sure this applies to sexual praxis: kids who are naive of sex as a concept yet innocently masturbate in front of mom and everybody, get handsy (presidential?) with their caretakers and other kids, etc.
-
i was given "the talk" earlier than parents expected precisely for engaging with peers in that 'inappropriate' behavior. it was the talk that defined it as disgusting - disgust *is* learned after all
-
hmm I think disgust can be learned but a lot of it is ingrained instinct
