Plastic surgery is the heritage of New York Magazine readers. It is cultural appropriation for incels to use it, and that's not OK.https://twitter.com/NYMag/status/1133325076869337090 …

Google translate chokes on that. If I separate it into 'Satisfaktions fähigkeit' it gives 'satisfaction ability' but asks 'Did you mean: Satisfaktionsfähigkeit'. Which it can't translate.
It’s a bit archaic. Basically people you accept as equals (the ‘ability’) to duel in disputed matters of honor (the ‘satisfaction’)
So, "capable of giving legal satisfaction" (implicitly, to a dispute/conflict related to honor)
For a certain type of private/within-SE-class legal code, I guess so. https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Satisfaktion … is actually pretty good, and I think it’s no accident that this only exists in Bulgarian/Russian/Ukrainian besides German (and Esperanto, which I have to admit was a bit of surprise).
Equivalent to a portion of the Code Duello, I guess.
Yeah, although by all I’ve read SI/borderer/cavalier society was/is way more fight-happy than (at least modern) continental Euro honor/judicial combat culture.
Nowadays it’s dead anyway except in some rightwing student circles who AFAIK don’t fight for honor any more but mostly just once, with careful protection, and until blood is drawn, in a ritualistic test of mettle.
The honour courts even when duelling actually had importance in German student life used to not just penalize students who insulted others to provoke a duel, they penalized their whole association (the “ramschen” section on the article)
