Pyridoxine is vitamin B6. It's a neurotoxin in high doses, but you have to take a ton of shady "nutritional supplements" daily for years to develop problems.

There are bajillions of things that can cause nerve damage and the nerves going to your fingers and toes tend to show damage first. Although the most likely cause for you is probably your shoes are too tight.
