The #Resistance mostly deals in guilt and piety -- they promise that *you* are good or bad. The voter is a sinner.

I like this distinction in loci of moral salience. It would be kinda weird if some politics were to treat with the latter if not to further the former

If you had to define Trump's outgroup, would it be anyone other than "people who don't like Trump?" It's the only thing he's been consistent on in this regard, and he'll even change if you suddenly start saying you like him. His loathing is part of the con-artistry
