Egregores are composed of, *run on*, multiple human brains, potentially millions of them, but they are (usually) far less complex, *lower-dimensional*, than humans. It's a bandwidth issue: an egregore doesn't only rely on language for transmission, but for all of its cognition.

don't quite agree; all that complexity inside individual humans was also seeded by "low bandwidth" language/sense/sensemaking. egregores can similarly have emergent complexity from composition over time across many differentiated parts.…

and, if several egregores are symbiotic, is their combined self-sustaining superstructure another 'egregore', or something else? interacting-humans : egregore :: interacting-egregores : __?__

Egregores are nebulous but fractal. Matthew 18:20: "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them." If Jesus has N believers, and if there's a Jesus created when any two or more believers meet, that's N! potential Jesuses.
