I read the source study. The data said 2 to 41 percent, the authors turned that into 2 to 11 percent without justification, people read those numbers as 2 to 10, which became 2 to 8, which became 2.

But skim https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/False_accusation_of_rape … and note that 'classified by police as false' is a lower bound. The true rate is a dark number. Thrown out by cops is only the first-pass filter, unless you think anyone investigated by cops is automatically guilty.
