This is one of those arguments with no good answer. Yes, that's deeply unjust. It's equally unjust for some to start the fight armed with a flamethrower while I have a stick. I don't know how people can be so convinced that they're right in such a thorny and impossible matter.

Without getting into the morality of redistribution in general, I'm seeing more and more demands for 100% estate taxes, total abolition of inheritance, as if there are no possible countervailing interests.

All taxes are "unjust" and take away from someone. Taking a little away from dead millionaires is one of the least unjust ways to take from people.
