I don't think beyond a reasonable doubt is a reasonable standard for someone interviewing for a job that lasts until they drop dead/possibly retire.

It's plausible to me. It's plausible that it really happened. The main thing in my mind is that this media circus would have happened whether Kavanaugh did anything or not. They'd find someone to accuse Fred Rogers if he were nominated. Stakes are too high.

My understanding is she discussed it in therapy in 2012. That's being brought up to show this isn't a wild notion she invented last week. Not the same thing as the Satanic ritual abuse planted memories.

Yes, that mitigates against it being a hoax or a delusion. The account also isn't obviously absurd, the way eg the Rolling Stone UVa story was. Still seems pretty thin to me.
