Some ad person got paid a lot to figure out what picture best evokes "deluxe". This is probably like Wendy's square burgers. The overhang makes you think you're getting more.

What a curious brand-name. Is there some sort of cultural relationship between burgers and cheesy pasta?
-
Hamburger is a sandwich but it's also a word for ground beef. This is a popular American brand of one-pan pasta and sauce one adds to sauteed crumbled ground beef.
-
This is an excellent explanation.

I thought maybe the deluxe uses a velveeta type of cheese while the regular one uses powdered cheese. That is the case with Kraft Deluxe Mac n cheese vs Kraft's regular version.

adding "deluxe" and "rich & creamy" lets you subtract 16.7% from net weight while charging the same or more.
