My poll wasn't really serious, of course. I have sumatriptan, but I'm scared to take it now, after having something a couple years ago they originally thought was a heart attack (wasn't). I've really fucked up my stomach with NSAIDs: I take Mobic now, but it doesn't do much.
My favorite preparation is the speedball: 16mg Mobic, 500 mg Tylenol, & 1 enteric-coated "baby" aspirin.
Aspirin damages my hearing something fierce. I had two aspirin back in like January and I still have noticeably worse tinnitis now. I've tried some prescription NSAIDs but without much luck.
Nothing works well for the headaches except avoiding the trigger, which is stale tobacco smoke. Yesterday I was at the grocery and walked past a woman who reeked. One whiff, then I held my breath until I was out of range. Today, sinus or migraine or whatever
It's not so bad in NC as it used to be, since the NCGA basically banned smoking in most "public" places. If you're outside, it just depends.
My math teacher in high school used to eat Tylenol like crazy, downed with Tab IIRC. After she retired she started getting sick & losing weight. Her liver was fucked. Dunno, but it wasn't alcohol, so prolly Tylenol. Pretty hard to kill yourself by degrees that way, but she did.
Dad also seemed to have chronic headaches. I think he ground his teeth (dentures, actually). I bring my teeth too, but that's clearly not the whole story. I wonder if there's a genetic component. Anyway, he took buffered aspirin his whole life, usually downing it with coffee.
