I wonder what happened to the native marsupial predators? Oh right, humans killed them all.

Isolated island populations are a problem! But somehow, people have been educated to believe that they're the norm, rather than fragile edge cases.

Nearly every such place that's had cats introduced has also had rats introduced. Rats are enough to wreck an island ecosystem by themselves. Pretty much any predator would do the same.

Humans and cats are my friends. I don't care about non-friends except to the extent they are useful to me.

Wanting fewer humans is disgusting. Run along now.
