Look at this fucking psychopath. https://www.smithsonianmag.com/science-nature/moral-cost-of-cats-180960505/ … Wants to genocide wild cats, who are friends of humanity, to preserve wild birds, who are not. Or so he claims; but this is as absurd as wiping out wolves to save deer. That's not how ecosystems work.

what about on the pacific islands where there were no mammalian predators?
-
Isolated island populations are a problem! But somehow, people have been educated to believe that they're the norm, rather than fragile edge cases.
-
Nearly every such place that's had cats introduced has also had rats introduced. Rats are enough to wreck an island ecosystem by themselves. Pretty much any predator would do the same.
-
true. cats and rats are both disastrous when introduced into ecosystems.
-
humans are too. we need less
-
We need as many humans and cats as possible.
-
Humans and cats are my friends. I don't care about non-friends except to the extent they are useful to me.
