    Firefighters responded to a structure fire on the 1200 block of Minnehaha Ave E at 4:15am. Crews found heavy fire on two floors. The fire was extinguished and all floors searched. No injuries were reported. 38 Firefighters, 9 Fire apparatus & 3 Chiefs responded.

    We will not allow anyone to exploit the tragedy of Daunte Wright’s death. By helping distinguish peaceful protestors from those who wish to perpetuate violence, a Metro-area curfew will be in place tonight beginning at 7pm. This is a preventative step to keep our cities safe.

    At 8:14am firefighters responded to a structure fire on the 600 block of Minnehaha Ave W. Firefighters found heavy smoke and fire on arrival. A victim was located during the search. The victim was removed and transported to a local hospital. The fire is under investigation.

    At 5:30pm firefighters responded to a 911 call for a person who had fallen down the bluffs near Mounds Park. Crews located the victim after 20 minutes of searching. They recovered and evaluated the victim who fortunately did not have any life threatening injuries.

    Firefighters endured frigid temperatures while fighting several fires over the weekend. Cold weather firefighting operations generally requires more resources. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. The fires are under investigation but are presumed to be accidental.

  16. FATAL PEDESTRIAN CRASH 1/2: We are investigating a fatal hit-and-run involving a pedestrian at the intersection of E 7th St and Eichenwald Street. Officers were called at just before 6pm on a pedestrian struck at the intersection.

    Firefighters responded to a fire on the 1500 block of Beech St. in St. Paul last night at 8:28pm. Firefighters rescued one occupant and extinguished the fire. The patient was transported to a local hospital. No other injuries were reported. The fire is under investigation.

    The Saint Paul Fire Department placed a new rig into service today. This new aerial apparatus will be housed out of Station 8 at the intersection of 10th and Minnesota. It will serve the Downtown, West Seventh and West Side neighborhoods.
