Literally the system that would fix this is used everywhere. Just 2fa. When you submit a copyright claim you should have to confirm it by email or text. Would decrease so much claim botting!

The point of ContentID claims is that they're automated tho so that's not really an option.

No, ContentID is youtubes own system. The take down and report api is the one we are talking about which auto claims based upon third party input not YouTube itself.

The report api is part of ContentID and is meant to be used as part of automated systems as well

The api skips this bit as it links directly between the developer's platform and the flagging system. Positive is they are easier to have removed than a content ID strike, the downside is they can be spammed very easily.

This is correct, the API is still a part of ContentID tho. It just replaces the ContentID scanning with the content owner's own system. Also note that ContentID does not automatically issue strikes but claims (tho claims can be manually converted into strikes)

No they are genuinely two different apis. The actual names are "video: reportAbuse" api which is apart of the YouTube developer api and "YouTube content ID api" which is a standalone api. They are two different systems.

Oh, you mean the reportAbuse API. That one is not meant for copyright at all and also does not automatically create strikes or claims. What I meant is actually a part of the (non-public) ContentID API and does not require review by YouTube (which is likely also what's used here)

The reportAbuse api contains copyright abuse claims -_- it's literally one of the 7 things it does. It's the manual claiming system

I never said it did have anything to do with Content ID.
