Very untrue. There is thousands of cases where someone arrested and jailed found court mandated counseling and rehab has helped them get free of drugs. And while in jail their crimes stopped. Catch and release helps no one.

Actually our scientists, specifically our epidemiologists emphasize that mass incarceration is much more existentially dangerous for the public especially in this moment of pandemic, than releases.https://sfdistrictattorney.org/policy/justice-driven-data/an-epidemic-inside-a-pandemic/ …

Paul please stop. SF has no mass incarceration. I went to the sheriff and got the stats. There’s room at the inn. 50% capacity.
@chesaboudin bragged that he let “40% of the jail population go” during Covid. And the deaths of Asian elders have zero to do with mass incarceration.2 replies 1 retweet 11 likes -

Our
@SF_DPH has continued to reduce guidance as to the number of prisoners that it is safe to detain, Thanks to@chesaboudin & DPH our cities jail, unlike san quintin(the third largest covid outbreak in america) did not have a covid outbreak. This is the reason for the releases.pic.twitter.com/Dv98fDkN8dThis media may contain sensitive material. Learn more

There are several prisons across the country that didn't have severe outbreaks. In the mean time more people died of overdose in SF then covid, guns and cars combined in the same time frame. Ignoring drug dealers by the DA is killing people.

While not every jail and prison had a outbreak, San Quentin did, and the epicenter of this pandemic is our cruel and overcrowded

Again you push a false story to push your false agenda. Actually nursing homes were and still are the hot spots. Prisons and jails have had outbreaks but very few severe. Your agenda is to release prisoners as you believe jails are bad. Crime is worse.

Prove that, I cites a professional source namely a legal professional and the NYTimes. Do you have any sources but your feelings showing that jails and prisons are not still the epicenter of the pandemic? Data > Feelings.

According to a report dated on 7/30 san Quentin has 5 active cases as of today. Stop pushing the false narrative of the virus spreading wildly in prisons..it's clear your agenda wants prisons abolished and you'll push any lie.

San Quentin is a model for how poorly mass incarceration in a pandemic can go. "By the end of August, more than 2,230 San Quentin inmates and nearly 280 staff members had become infected with COVID-19;"https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.sacbee.com/news/politics-government/the-state-worker/article249017125.html …

Covid. I find it telling that you fail to show the same concern for the approximately 1700 deaths causes by drugs in San Francisco alone. Your support for the DA who refuses to prosecute drug dealers clearly shows your agenda. Lives only matter if they help support you agenda.
