The data dashboard on the DAs website says the overall filing rate for Chesa’s office is 47%. which is a decline from previous years. The cases are coming but the DAs office is literally more likely to do nothing than to file charges in a case.

Boudin probably gave the cases greater scrutiny while the cops have been particularly lazy and sloppy.

I understand you can't speak ill of your comrade but there is absolutely no viable reason that he declines charges on multiple cases. He has even transferred adas or fired them id they are filing too many cases. Also the office has da investigators who can investigate more

You're type has been dissatisfied with every DA and given the cops every manner of pass. You lose election after election because San Francisco voters and juries have different ideas than you do about criminal justice.

Bring him weak cases? Drug sales cases are video taped and all officers wear body cameras providing great evidence in cases. So you saying its the police isnt true because if so Boudin would be holding press conferences about it.

On crimes against persons or even property, it is a rarity when the SFPD identifies a suspect and brings a case.

Well without witnesses and with poor victims cases are hard to file. But even harder with a rebooking process that no county in the state uses. Im talking about cases brought to the da not investigations.

Nobody else really cares as much about this as you do.

Thats the sad part. At least one person dies on the streets from overdose a day. Retail theft is out of control. The Walgreens at 4th and market loses 20k a day in theft and other locations are closing. But you dont care.

Yep, income disparity and systemic racism, lack of health (mental) care have their consequences. You just want them out of sight, out of mind for you. You're too cheap to pay up front now (or beat back corruption) you want us to pay for you to get punishy on the back end.

Ok now you're just rambling. I want help rehab etc for addicts. I want arrest and prison for dealers. As a person of color who had several family members who were addicts (cocaine and heroin) i understand the importance of help and punishment.
