Clearly prison is the only way to address this because mass incarceration has worked so well to diminish crime, it always has. Prison is also the most expensive way to achieve public safety and we love paying taxes.

There has been no mass incarceration in san francisco for decades. SF sends the fewest convicted criminals to state prison just behind little Alpine county.

Because the SFPD can't do their job and bring cases to the DA. When asked, the SFPD can't produce records of cases the DA has declined to prosecute. The SFPD simply does not do their job and blames successive DAs starting from Arlo Smith when I arrived here in the 1980s.

Not true. Cases declined by this da and prior have been successfully turned over to the feds who prosecute the cases. This DA has come up with any excuse not to prosecute crimes. Drug sales to an undercover officer on video is thrown out by this da.

Show me the pile of cases over the decades that the SFPD has brought to successive DAs that have not been prosecuted. If you can do that, then we can vet each case for viability. The cases, please.

The multiple drug sales cases made every week by tenderloin officers. 45 arrests last week and most released. Why can't you open your eyes and look. People are dying on the streets from drugs being sold by dealers many of which have been arrested multiple times
