I basically paid about $100 bucks between adventures/packs to be able to play when I started. That sucked.

My wife has been playing as long as I have, and she was never able to play dragon priest, because she couldn't stomach spending 3500 dust on Blackrock when she could be buying packs instead.

Exactly!

Naw, I bought the adventures with gold. I never had a problem keepin up with the meta when I was f2p. I preferred the adventures because I was able to get the whole set.

Not the news versions though they provide all the cards

Right! That might be overall better.

that was one of the 1st things I heard people say. Lots of Legendary and Epic cards you will have to craft or open. Tough for F2P. I'm not F2P and I can't build most things.

The adventures gave us a nice package of sometimes meta defining cards , from a get to play standpoint I much prefer that over packs , sort of Netrunner as opposed to MTG

Karazhan was a good deal: 3000g for all the cards. You can buy 30 packs of a set and still not even get all the commons you want, much less rares/epics. And those legendaries were good cards (Barnes, Curator, Medivh)... except Moroes. I bought all the wings with gold on EU/Asia.

I completely agree with the value. Just musing out loud about maybe why Blizz is trying no Adventures this year.
