I try to keep my Twitter lighthearted & Hearthstone related. However, the fact that there’s overlap between a portion of people I follow still lamenting the loss of Toast yet showing even a modicum of glee that John Bain died in such a horrific manner disgusts the fuck outta me.

The amount of toxicity disguised as positivity is definitely pushing me away from Twitter recently.

Wait....I may be confused by the parsing of your sentence. I don’t know the story behind Toast at all...but you are unhappy that people are speaking ill of the G@mer G@te guy? Or do I have that backwards?

I can't speak for Chris obviously, but for me, Twitter is fun. There are terrible things that happen in the world and I enjoy taking time out of my day to laugh and chat with people about other things. I'm in no way disregarding people's beliefs and feelings about anything...

...I simply enjoy sharing the brighter side of life with people on Twitter. Lately, Twitter feels more like a platform for people to shove agendas in my face and I'm more of a "live and let live" kind of guy and keep most of that stuff to myself. It's just been off-putting.

I honestly don't mind when someone shares something that they believe strongly in because it helps me to get to know you as more of a person and less of a screen name, but there are people out there that just forcefully cram it down your throat. Live and let live, fam. <3
