.@DHSgov can confirm that the suspect benefited from extended family chain migration. The chain was initiated by the suspect’s relative who became a U.S. Citizen after entering the country via a visa lottery program. (1/2)

The suspect is originally from Bangladesh and entered the U.S. in 2011 receiving a green card under the fourth family based preference. The Administration has advocated for ending both Chain Migration and the current Diversity Visa lottery program (2/2)

Can we start asking Democrats if the children of Russian Spies brought into the USA illegally should quality for Dreamer status? And ask if Democrats would tear their families apart by deporting their Russian parents back to Russia?

After 8 years of obama I don’t know what to think about all these simple common sense solutions 🙄🤔

You should consider explaining what the fourth family preference is to fully inform the public to avoid unnecessary and illiterate statements being made towards your tweets! #noteveryoneknows

I didn't realize it was the job of the DHS spokesperson to use racist dog whistle phrases like "chain migration."

That means that his parent(s) and he had to wait about 15 years to obtain their immigrant visas. A little context and background for the uninitiated might be useful as opposed to unnecessarily fanning the flames of hatred and bigotry.

Ending chain migration is absurd. Especially for immediate family members. 18 1/2 quarters worked legally in the US, but my only way in is through a family member (who is a landed H1B - now citizen) (1/2)

And my application, received in 2013 hasn’t moved. Office has been processing same date since October 2014. (2/2)
