The Sopranos. IMO still the best series finale of all time, and one of the best final scenes in any narrative fiction.

I don't think I've ever cried as hard over an episode of TV as I did for that one.

First would have been Full House. As a kid, that was the first time I remember processing that the show I loved watching every week wasn’t coming back. I remember being genuinely sad to say goodbye to these “friends.”

Oddly, a show I didn't even watch and few remember called "I Married Dora." I was watching with my parents. One of the main characters left for a flight and then came back. "It's cancelled," he said. "The flight?" "No, the series." I didn't know a show could do that.

Cheers. It helped me understand, even as a teenager, what love really was all about: understanding yourself.

OH MY GOD ME TOO! I am younger than you but my family watched it in reruns most weeks. I also remember being gutted by "Abyssinia, Henry"
