Watching the Smash community discuss banning a character that (to the best of my knowledge) is only a MID tier just cause he's RNG heavy blows my mind.

Not sure if this is a good analogy but it feels like the equivalent of Hearthstone players wanting Quest Rogue to be banned from tournaments cause they're afraid of a casual player winning by high rolling the right burgle cards.

I’d compare it more to wild players wanting Barnes “banned” (nerffed out of existence). Big priest’s winrate is meh, and some factor of luck is fine but no deck’s highroll potential should just be “I win the game”.

That's actually a good point. Although taking a stock is far away from winning the game and even farther from winning a set.

Yep, that’s why I don’t really have a strong opinion. Could go either way but it’s definitely a discussion the community should be having.
