To those who have concerns about election results, please know that nothing is official until all votes are counted and certified. There is also space for legal challenges and it is important to allow those to play out. 3/

While we may not know which party controls the senate until after Georgia runoffs, there is hope for divided government. Both the Reagan and Clinton administrations proved that periods of divided control can be good for Americans. 4/

And finally, remember we are Americans first today. If your team lost, reach out and congratulate a friend on the other side. If your team won, reach out and reassure a friend on the other side. Here’s to 4 years of working together as one nation.🇺🇸 /end

No. I'd give anything not to have McConnell as majority leader.
He is not just a speed bump in lawmaking, he's a giant cement wall.
He doesn't care that the people have spoken. He only cares about what puts more $$$ in his pocket.

But McConnell has proved that HE cannot lead in that way. If you want to show you think its possible, I'd convince the Republicans in the Senate to appoint a different majority leader.

Since you're keen on a divided government, how do you plan to ensure equal representation during our next redistricting?

McConnell's addiction to bipartisan obstruction will only land our country in more division. It's high time for conservatives like yourself to reclaim the Republican party from these extremists.

I wish we could have some of that guided control in our own state instead of the GOP and LDS church running roughshod over the rights of everyone else in the state.

Congratulations on your election. Your wish for bipartisan progress runs directly counter to the American experience with the US Senate for the past 12 years.

Mitch has already demonstrated what happens with divided control....nothing for the people. Vote for and to remove McConnell power grab and destruction. Enough.

Uhm, no. Talk to McConnell about that. He blocked everything Obama tried to do. Don't start with 'let's cooperate' now.
