It is not replacing, as the poor already get food boxes at the food bank to supplement SNAP. Mulvaney is just rebranding the food box as Harvest Box and calling it a new program. This is a flat out 50% cut or elimination of food stamps.

People will starve. Crime will go up as desperate people will be forced to hunt for food.

I don't mean to be impolite but that is an ignorant statement. Americans citizens in low paying jobs (under $24,000) are on food stamps. Do you have any idea how many jobs are low paying? You deal with citizens in the workplace EVERYDAY who use food stamps.

So instead of people being able to trade food stamps for drugs, the program is going to finally be used for it’s intended purpose: food. Gee is Trump a monster or what....

I guess your right congresswomen Pelosi, this would cause food stamp recipients of those who don’t need it or engage in fraud to actually use the program for what it was intended. Trying to avoid fraud is always a goo practice, don’t you agree?

I'm sure armed gangs will rob military vehicles to get these meals. They should send these boxes to Food Banks, and they'd still be shunned.
-
Why would they be shunned at a food bank?
-
It would seem expired food from Mexico might be better than anything Trump could supply.

I don't eat Mexican, so I don't go to the food bank anymore.
