The fight to #ProtectDREAMers will have impacts in communities all across America. Right in my district, a young man named Fernando is just one of many whose future hangs in the balance.
Fernando was brought to the US when he was 9 yrs old. He was an AP scholar, received the IB Diploma, an Achievement Award in Foreign Language for French, and graduated cum laude from @SantaClaraUniv with a double major in Biology and French. He is undocumented.
Now a third year medical student at @UCSF, Fernando is contributing to research to fight many diseases and disorders.
Fernando is exactly the kind of young person America should be embracing. And he’s not alone. Across the nation, #DREAMers are contributing to & strengthening our communities. America cannot afford to have Republicans continue to push them away.
Can't wait to hear how you explain to the hard working tax paying Americans that you want to shut down our government over illegal immigrants. People that came into our country illegally and r already getting tax payer money. Good luck with that.
