I was forced onto it to the tune of 1600$ a month out of pocket, that is more than our mortgage, and no subsidies. Middle class family

That stinks. It's going to get worse, unfortunately. Higher deductibles, premiums, and worse coverage. AHCA = worse disaster.

Everyone deserves coverage, but everyone should have some skin in the game, and the burden not be primarily on the middle class.
