I don’t support U.S. taxpayer money subsidizing corporations to provide benefits to workers that they should already be providing. House Democrats will continue to prioritize strong emergency leave policies as we fight to put #FamiliesFirst.https://www.nytimes.com/2020/03/14/opinion/coronavirus-pelosi-sick-leave.html …

We need long term relief for *everyone* not just 20% of the workforce.

Big corporations got tax cuts 2 years ago, they need to step up and spread the money they received

You hear that
@JeffBezos? YOU offer paid sick leave. Not your workers requested to “donate to fellow employees”. -
Of course he heard it. Bezos and Nancy were lunching when he told her to cut Amazon workers out of her bill.

It’s called a free market economy. It would be great if they could all afford to do what you want but it would be beyond wrong to force anyone to do what you want!

Why doesn't the bill require that large employers provide paid sick time, then? I agree with what you said, but it is naive to think those big companies will do the right thing on their own.
-
That was originally in the bill but GOP wouldn’t have it so now those who work for corps won’t get paid leave. Don’t blame Nancy, blame GOP & Moscow Mitch who may not allow Senate to vote on it.

Call
@PNCBank, and addressed that accordingly because today at 8:21 a.m. I was the phone with a Representative severely ill, unable to breath. She shared her kids were sick all last week, and she was forced to return to work because the bank would not pay her any sick days. -
Why would they dig into their profits to take care of their workers? Their stockholders would be pissed!
