Would be nice to see the House vote. This behind the scenes action is ridiculous.
-
Would be nice if you read the constitution. They will vote after the inquiry
-
The past 2 impeachments had an inquiry vote
-
Precedent and constitutional law are quite different. Just because the last two times I went to the restaurant and the food was good doesn't mean it's gonna be good the third time I go.

So when are we going to start seeing people being arrested for violating subpoenas? Every one of them should be sitting in jail for not complying with a subpoena. A 21 yr old kid sat in jail for 10 days for missing jury duty while Trump & his cronies get to ignore subpoenas.

He is busy making himself and his family Great again, careless president ever
-
Or care Less either way...thought I'd throw this in
-
Legally, they don’t have to follow supoenas until a vote for impeachment is passed on the house floor.

That was a formal impeachment inquiry - the one now is a three ring circus that makes a good political soap opera but not much else...
-
The Nixon inquiry was never brought before the full house, impeachment was recommended by the judiciary committee and Nixon resigned before the house voted
-
Yep...it’s been about 28 years since my US history classes at UCT, but Andrew Johnson was (to date) the only President actually tried in this manner (he was acquitted)

Use the magic words, Madam Speaker.
#InherentContempt -
That is well worth a few million like in Pelosi value
-
In other words about the same value and appeal as a bucket of two-day old leper diarrhea during a heatwave...
-
That’s one of the most horrifyingly illustrative statements I’ve ever heard. It’s spectacular. I’ll be borrowing it, if you don’t mind.
-
Be my guest - it was the most vile thing I could think of at 4.30AM

-
I think the cherry-on-top was that the diarrhea was from, not just anyone with gastroenteritis, but specifically a leper. That put it over the edge.
