Right now, a majority of the entire population of the United States is without representation. What good will granting statehood to DC do when none of you are listening to any of us anyway?

My thought exactly.

DC is not a state, it is the national capital. Unless we will agree to divide the large states into several states (we should), DC is not a special unrepresented community and should not be a state.
-
Yep let's do that and divide them up by population. Every 500,000 becomes a state, now New York will have a 10 to 1 advantage over Kansas or South Carolina. This would effectively dilute the Republican base back to where its numbers show its true representation.
-
That’s an idea but for an example, how would you divide New York City?
-
NYC would be harder than most places, but is exceptional. Still, sure it could be managed sensibly somehow.

I stopped months ago. 2018, I had hope. Now that's gone.

If we are touting numbers here, Puerto Rico has over 3 million residents and they aren’t represented either. Just saying.

Residence of California feel the same way. They have been looking for and expecting representation for years , but all they get are streets filled with poop.

Every day that the mango magoo isn't impeached, I feel like I am not represented in Congress.
