Glad to hear this, but what exactly are you going to do about Trump and his enablers? This has gone too far. And like many, I've lost patience with the party of blue.

They’re going to pass a lot of bills that the Senate will never pass so they can show us how virtuous they are during the 2020 elections. And since the Democratic Party establishment refuses to do much more than that, they might well lose and give Trump a second term.
-
I keep waiting for a loud, strong Democratic voice touting clear objectives that would galvanize support and boost the electorate. A strong message with repetition, repetition, repetition. That is the name of the game. The Dem Party Establishment is so entrenched.
-
In my personal view, Elizabeth Warren comes the closest to what you are waiting for.
-
If only her main ideas re healthcare, jobs, climate change, etc., were amplified and embraced by the whole party. At the risk of over-simplifying, it seems strategic to focus on three or four unifying messages.

#ImpeachmentInquiry into the criminal & morally defunct occupant of our house Until then, all this is, is another piece of paper for McConnell to file into the garbage can because the GOP doesn’t want middle-class ppl to make living wages - 1 more reply

Bad idea. Look what it did to Seattle. Small business owners left town. People lost jobs. This will just make small business owners close their doors. Jobs will be lost. Oh, I forgot that’s what you want...force people to depend on government so they can be ruled and controlled
-
A single person can’t survive on full time minimum wage. Most places won’t even hire full time either. And you can’t get a second job because they want you to have open availability. God forbid you have children. Then people want to whine about you getting government assistance.

They definitely can’t survive now. Even with a job.

And its DEAD in Senate. How in the world can this mean anything, if we refuse to enforce & hold people accountable for ALREADY PASSED LAWS?
#exasperated -
I think it's a good tactic. Keep hammering the republicans with popular legislation and force them to block it. Keep reintroducing it and go on the MSM to talk about it. Make it clear the GOP is why we can't have the things the people want.
-
Maybe...I totally understand the tactic for sure, but we're getting to a point where we look foolish for refusing to enforce already signed laws & at a place where it's time for Dems to put duty first as well. What good is policy making if we refuse to ENFORCE already est policy?
-
Don't get me wrong. I'm NOT defending them. And they'll almost certainly get this wrong. I just think the tactic - if they actually use it - is a good one.

What Will McConnell Do? Stop wasting time. Force members to read Mueller & brief voters. Gather ye rosebuds before autumn.
