Bills that are dead on arrival are a waste of time. Open impeachment proceedings. Do your job.

If they are dead it’s because no one on here pressures the Senate. Maybe folks could spend some time on that.

Voters mobilized and ushered in a Dem majority in the House to hold Trump accountable. Voters had no illusion that Mitch McConnell might suddenly become less awful. We didn’t empower House Dems under the delusion Dem bills would pass the Senate. 1/2

You know, I actually saw what they campaigned on in district: shoring up the ACA, lowering prescription drug costs, political reform. Guess what? They are passing those bills. No one campaigned on impeachment and certainly no one in a swing district. Let’s not rewrite history.
-
If you believe that voters ushered in a Dem House *NOT* to hold Trump accountable but to instead magically accomplish legislative impossibilities, I don’t know what to say.
-
I admire and respect you. And I know you’re very capable of defining accountability as impeachment. But it has a broader definition. After all pretty much everyone just censured Barr and Ross. That’s accountability too. You may say insufficient. And I respect that.I don’t respect

Shitting on an important piece of legislation like $15 dollar minimum wage. It’s never happened before.
-
Calling a show bill that will pass in no small part *because* it is DOA an “important piece of legislation” is less than reasonable. Legislative charades aren’t achievements. They’re theatrics. Pretending otherwise is dishonest.

lies, lies, lies!! Nancy Pelosi is nothing but a liar. They introduced that bill now b/c they know it will get killed in the senate!! I'm so sick to death of the establishment dems, and they tabled a bill for impeachment inquiry today as well. Useless, the whole lot of them!!

This is how your state deals with it. Just be honest- and tell us the price will be put back on the consumer.pic.twitter.com/5mBV7leg00

Thanks for sharing! So many Californians are not aware they are paying this surcharge when eating out. Not only do we have to tip and pay taxes on the bill but now we have to pay the business owners employees costs...This will eventually hurt small businesses.
-
When I saw this on the receipt last week all I could do is SMH. That was after walking through sidewalk tent city and my children witnessing drug use on the street- but I digress.

-
Some of us don’t mind paying more to eat out if it means the servers get a higher wage. Oh and what street was this “sidewalk tent city” on exactly?
-
How do I know- I’m a tourist. It was worse in Portland and LA than San Fran. I appreciate that they told me what it was- but either way- the consumer pays. I eat out because I can afford it. So trot that high horse you’re sitting on right on out of here. I’m not impressed.
