I have almost given up on our Democracy. Our Constitution is not working. We don't have three branches of government. The Executive branch is run by incompetents. The Senate is packing the Courts with righwingers. The House won't do its sworn duty to #ImpeachTrumpNow

I totally agree with you

I agree too but what the hell good is it going to do to impeach when we know damn well the obstructionist McConnell and the other Senate Republicans will never convict? It's very frustrating and it sucks they won't honor their oath of office and protect the Constitution!
-
Because we need history to show that Trump's lawlessness was officially confronted. We need history to show Trump among the handful of presidents impeached, among the bad.

6 weeks ago a Dem staffer was quoted as saying
@SpeakerPelosi is afraid of the Dem caucus being perceived as "feckless & impotent." The latest example: Trump's Russia partner Felix Sater stood the House up today because he "overslept." Consequences?? Don't hold your breath.pic.twitter.com/Hs7qtxPDAD

Resign if you’re going to refuse to start impeachment inquiries to end this terror
-
While I’m not as naive as some who believe impeachment is going to save us from Trump & put an end to this terror, I still know it’s their constitutional duty to impeach a proven criminal president. Just because GOP is in derelict of duty doesn’t mean Dems should be as well.
-
Most who follow the developments daily are aware that Impeachment doesn't equate to him leaving office. We want to know that Democrats are protecting the Constitution. It's getting increasingly clear that they are failing us.
-
And as I already said, it is their constitutional duty to impeach & I’m demanding it as well. But nevertheless, it isn’t going to “save us from this terror”.
-
Here’s what happens if/when they begin impeachment proceedings: Trump admin & DOJ do what they’re doing now, don’t comply, etc. House votes to impeach, it goes to senate. Senate votes no to remove. Trump & GOP claim they are victorious & that Dems lost. And we still have Trump.
-
Those naive to believe this senate GOP is okay with Trump admin kidnapping kids & locking them in concentration camps, but Trumps obstruction might be where they draw the line, hasn’t been paying attention. So again, yes to impeachment but no, it isn’t going to end this mess

Excuse me Nancy, but you could stop all of his busy time starting a war if you would start impeachment inquiry! I think that would be a hell of a lot safer for all of us if his mind was occupied with that!

Totally agree

Madame Speaker, with all due respect, Trump’s team isn’t interested in either ‘calibrating their response’ OR listening to the American people. We look to you to apply Constitutional remedies to this severe crisis of national leadership that Trump represents. /1
-
We try to be patient, but we are not seeing much Congressional action against this criminal President and his corrupt USAG. I notice that you took at least $14k campaign $ from Salesforce/Deutsche Bank last year. /2https://www.opensecrets.org/orgs/toprecips.php?id=D000037335&cycle=2018 …

Given Deutsche Bank is a major mover of laundered RU money, and has a very close relationship with Salesforce, I can’t help but wonder if there are any special interests at work in delaying Congressional action which could result in these companies’ activities being investigated?
-
Focus has been on Facebook, Twitter, Google - but Salesforce has massive amounts of info on businesses and consumers. Not confident this is secure from Russian access or interference.
-
A cursory search on LinkedIn reveals numerous Salesforce platform programmers working with Deutsche Bank in a consulting capacity. Would love to know more about the nature of that relationship, and also what Salesforce’s contracts are with US Customs and Border Patrol.
-
If anyone has access to Lexis-Nexis, maybe run a search of how many times a US politician receiving Salesforce contributions had anything bad to say about Deutsche Bank’s money laundering issues, I’d be interested in those results.
